Factory 33s on the Power Wagon are LT265/70R17 (Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac). When they wear out, the upgrade most owners actually want is a 33"–34" all-terrain — quieter on highway, better wet/snow than the DuraTrac, and no need to re-gear. KO2 is the reference, Falken AT3W is the value pick, Toyo AT3 is the premium choice.

The Power Wagon comes from the factory with a Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac in LT265/70R17 — a hybrid AT/MT that's surprisingly capable but loud on highway and short-lived (40k miles is typical). When you're shopping replacements, the four mainstream AT options that actually fit factory wheels and clear the fenders with no rub are: BFG KO2, Falken Wildpeak AT3W, Toyo Open Country AT3, and Nitto Recon Grappler.

**BFG KO2 (LT285/70R17 = 32.7")** — the AT reference standard. Aggressive tread for an AT, excellent snow rating (3PMSF), 50k-mile typical life on a Power Wagon. Loudest of the four on highway above 65 mph. About $380/tire = $1,520 for a set of four.

**Falken Wildpeak AT3W (LT285/70R17 = 32.7")** — same size, ~25% cheaper, slightly less aggressive shoulder lugs, comparable highway noise, 60k+ life. The value choice — this is what most Power Wagon owners on the forums end up with.

**Toyo Open Country AT III (LT295/70R17 = 34.3")** — biggest of the four, premium tier. The slightly bigger 34.3" diameter is the largest you can fit on factory fenders + factory wheels without trimming. Quieter than KO2, similar life, 30% more expensive. The choice if you want max diameter without going to 35s (which requires fender trimming and 4.56 re-gear).

**Nitto Recon Grappler A/T** — newer entry, slightly more aggressive shoulder than KO2, decent snow, similar price to KO2. Smaller user base on Power Wagons so less long-term data, but well-reviewed.

For a moderate-trail Power Wagon build, the Falken AT3W is the value sweet spot. For overland, the Toyo AT III's larger diameter is worth the premium. For rock-crawler builds, skip the AT and go straight to 37" MTs (see [[pw-tires-mt]]).
