The benchmark all-terrain tire — quiet on highway, durable, predictable in dirt and light snow.
The KO2 has been the default "do everything tire" for built XJs and overland builds for a decade. It's a 3-ply sidewall AT with severe-snow rating, a long history of toughness on rocks, and predictable behavior in mud (it clears okay, but it's no MT). Common XJ fitments: 31x10.50R15, 33x12.50R15, 33x10.50R15 (load range C), and 235/75R15 for daily drivers.
Wear is reasonable — 40,000–50,000 mi for mild use, less if aired down often. Replacement (KO3) recently entered the market and is similar in character.
Where it falls short: deep mud, technical wet rock, and aggressive granite where a softer MT compound bites better.
