A bolt-on/weld-on bracket that lowers the frame-side mount of the front track bar to match the lifted axle position, eliminating the ~1" axle offset.
When you lift an XJ, the front axle is pulled to the passenger side because the track bar's frame-side mount stays fixed but the axle drops. At 3" of lift the axle is ~1/2" to the passenger side; at 4.5" it's ~1" or more. A track bar relocation bracket drops the frame-side mount of the track bar so the bar sits parallel to the ground at ride height, re-centering the axle.
Most relocation brackets are bolt-on with one or two weld-on reinforcement plates. IRO, Rusty's, RockKrawler all sell them for $60-120. Some kits use a longer adjustable track bar instead of (or in addition to) a relocation bracket — both approaches work; the bracket is cheaper and keeps the geometry closer to factory.
For 2-3" lifts, you can often live with the cosmetic axle offset (steering wheel is centered, alignment is fine, a small visual asymmetry). For 4.5"+ you really need either a relocation bracket OR an adjustable longer track bar to keep the axle centered. Track bar geometry also affects bumpsteer — if the track bar is at a steep angle, the axle's lateral position changes through suspension travel, causing the steering wheel to wiggle over bumps.
