A 2" lift on an early Bronco is mostly about tire clearance and stance. It doesn't change the geometry enough to matter — run taller springs, better shocks, and a quality alignment and you're done.
A 2" lift gives enough room to clear 33" tires without rubbing, improves departure angle slightly, and levels the stance if the original springs have sagged.
**What's included in a typical 2" kit:**
**Alignment:** Any lift requires a new alignment. Caster typically runs 1–2° positive stock; after a 2" lift it often drops below spec. Adding caster shims (or having a shop set caster with the alignment) prevents tire wear and wander.
**Shocks:** Stock shocks will top out with a 2" lift. Rancho RS5000X or Bilstein 5100 series fit with the standard shock mounting and absorb trail chop well.
**Tire clearance at 2":** Clears 33" tires with minor trimming of the inner fender in some applications. No rubbing at full articulation on a 33" — verify on your specific build before wheeling.
