Trail Tool Kit Builder
Pick your build complexity and how far you're going. The list that comes back is sized honestly — what's essential for your scenario, what's a genuine upgrade, and what most people don't actually need.

Group size matters
This list assumes you might be trailing solo or with a group that doesn't have a support vehicle. In a group of 3+ rigs, you can spread the recovery gear across vehicles — one rig doesn't need to carry it all. The further you are from help, the more self-sufficient each rig should be.
The most important recovery item is a communication plan — satellite communicator or a pre-arranged check-in schedule with someone who knows where you are. Tools and gear don't replace a way to call for help if something goes seriously wrong.
