Full-Size Ford Bronco · 1978–1996
The Big One.
Eighteen years of body-on-frame, V8-powered, removable-top SUV. The full-size Bronco is the platform that proved a half-ton truck could be a serious off-road vehicle without giving up daily-driver comfort. Dana 44 front, Ford 9" rear on most.
Early coverage. Trail Manual is building the Jeep platforms out first — the Cherokee XJ library runs 340+ guides. Full-Size has a starter set of guides today; deeper coverage is on the way. See the XJ library for where this is headed.
