Significant TSBs that XJ owners should know. TSB 21-09-06 (2006) clarified that the AW4 should use Dexron rather than the newer ATF+4 despite some owner's manuals listing the latter. TSB 11-02-99 covered the exhaust manifold crack issue and authorized replacement under powertrain warranty for 1996-2001 4.0L. TSB 14-006-00 covered the fuel pump module (97-01 XJ) with redesigned strainer to reduce in-tank pump failures. TSB 24-001-00 covered HVAC blend door failure with recommended in-place repair before full dash removal. TSB 09-005-04 covered piston ring/cylinder bore issues on the 0331 cylinder head era.
