Viair 400P/450P portables are the budget-friendly tire-fill answer — slower than ARB but a fraction of the cost.
A Viair 400P (or 450P, with longer duty cycle) is a portable compressor that clamps to the battery and fills tires from the engine bay. It's slower than a hardwired twin (will heat-cycle filling four 35s in a row) but costs around $250 and goes anywhere — including borrowed-truck duty. It's the most-recommended starter compressor for the trail.
For faster fills with a portable, MORRflate or AirHead-style 4-tire kits parallel four tires into a manifold so all four fill simultaneously — turns the slow Viair into a reasonable 4-tire airing-up tool.
