RockKrawler's mid-arm 3.5" kit (RK02-CXJ35) brings triple-rate coils, adjustable lowers, and beefier track bar — a real trail lift in the entry tier.

RockKrawler is a NY-based suspension specialist whose XJ kits emphasize triple-rate coils and beefy adjustable links. The 3.5" Stage 1 includes triple-rate front coils, replacement rear leaf pack, RK 2.0 emulsion shocks, adjustable rear lower control arms, a longer adjustable rear track bar, and a transfer case drop.

Triple-rate coils have three distinct spring rates depending on compression: soft at ride height for comfort, medium when loaded, firm at full compression to resist bottoming. This makes RK lifts ride better than RC at the same height while keeping bump resistance for trail. The adjustable rear track bar lets you center the axle properly (RC and Rusty's 3" kits use a stock track bar with the axle slightly offset to the passenger side).

Expect $1400-1800 with shock upgrade options (Fox 2.0 or King 2.0). RK kits include all the bracketry to do the lift correctly the first time, so they end up cheaper than a budget kit plus a year of incremental upgrades. Front brake lines are usually needed separately. RK Stage 2 and Stage 3 versions add a rear track bar, sway bar disconnects, etc.

The downside is price and the heavy 5/8" johnny joints on the rear adjustable arms transfer more impact noise into the cabin than rubber bushings. Build quality is excellent.
